Prof. Sisil Kumarawadu
Managing Director
He obtained his PhD in Robotics and Intelligent Systems in 2003, from Saga National University, Japan. He has been serving as an Invited Referee of several reputed international journals and transactions, including IEEE Access, IEEE Trans. Intell. Transp. Systems and IEEE Trans. Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, among others. He has also served as a keynote speaker and international advisory board member for over 20 international conferences in the region.
Prof. Kumarawadu had been a postdoctoral fellow at the Intelligent Transportation Systems, NCTU, Taiwan, and Exetel Endowed Professor in Artificial Intelligence, sponsored by Exetel Pty Ltd., Australia, at the SL Inst. IT. He is currently a Senior Professor at University of Moratuwa and a Distinguished Professor at Shanghai Univ Electric Power. He has decades of experience in research and industry problem solving in the areas of systems automation and AI applications at the highest levels.
Upul Dassanayake
Director
Renowned International Consultant and Strategist with over 25 years of cross-sectoral experience, with deep roots in the IT, ICT, and digital transformation ecosystem. He holds a Master’s in Information Technology from Keele University (UK), is a Management Graduate of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and a Licentiate Chartered Accountant.
As a National Consultant to the International Trade Centre (ITC) – United Nations, Upul played a leading role in empowering over 100 IT and BPO companies in Sri Lanka to become export-ready, paving the path for their success in international markets.
Upul was the Chairman of INFOTEL 2017, Sri Lanka’s largest ICT exposition, and a former President of the Education & Training Chapter at FITIS, the apex IT industry body. He also represents Sri Lanka at Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), engaging with 24 member countries on regional ICT advancement.
He has collaborated with global institutions including ITC, United Nations, UNIDO, IFC, USAID, GIZ, ILO and Oxfam on high-impact digital, export, and enterprise development initiatives. His proprietary B-TEXA™ (Business Transformation & Export Acceleration) framework has empowered thousands of tech companies and SMEs to scale internationally through innovation, capacity building, and strategic market entry.
Dr. Logeeshan Velmanickam
Director
Highly accomplished expert in the field of AI with an impressive track record of achievements and awards. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Dakota State University (NDSU), with a GPA of 4.0/4.0. His groundbreaking research in biomedical instrumentation, where he has developed a microsensor by integrating dielectrophoresis and plasmonic enhancement for early-stage cancer diagnosis. By integrating AI into this microsensor platform, he has significantly improved the detection limit by multiple folds.
Dr. Logeeshan has obtained three USA patents and one invention disclosure for his research work. He also recruited as an Honor member of Phi Kappa Phi and IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society for his outstanding academic performance. He has supervised and guided numerous AI and IoT-related projects for industry and academia. He also involved in several AI research endeavors and collaborates with professors from the United States and Australia. In addition, he remotely serves as an advisor for the US-based startup company "Cancer Score" contributing to the development of AI technologies for early cancer diagnosis. His vast knowledge and experience in AI make him a valuable asset to AcZenith AI.
